For those who have experienced pregnancy, birth, life with a newborn – is there anything specific you’re extra thankful you did (or wish you had done), soaked up, or documented before the third and fourth trimester came to an end?
Wanna anchor this round in as much as I reasonably can ✨⚓✨
Things like:
>> taking maternity pics last weekend even though I was super sleepy and not in the mood 😝
>> taking bare belly pics that will likely never see the light of day bc I’m amazed how this bod can stretch 👙
>> imagining the unknowns – what she’ll look like, sound like, be like 👑
>> treasuring that this is it for purely US time – I’m all she’s ever known and her whole world is about to open up, literally 💫
>> recognizing the discomfort and broken sleep I’m experiencing will soon transform into a diff form of discomfort and broken sleep (with a signing bonus of baby snuggles) 🙃
>> planning to get more *video* clips of labor, delivery, early hours and days (wish I’d had more of those w the boys. We had pics but not as many videos of the squeaky squirms!) 🎥
>> writing or recording birth story while it’s fresh, noting notable pregnancy things I easily forget 📝
I’ve got a whole list of home and healing prep going, but I’m mostly looking for the sentimental less obvious things we can easily miss in the shuffle.
Would love to hear any ideas you’ve got ❤️
