IS IT WORTH IT?

Shared this in a private mom / biz group I’m in last night – wanted to share here in case it sparks an aha for YOU today. ❤️

What’s been coming up for me over the past several months is that simple doesn’t mean easy. Effort is required. For a little while I thought the answer was: EASE OR BUST!

I needed that season to kickstart my years-long unlearning of workworkwork mode. But eventually the pendulum swung all the way to “WELP now I never wanna work” and that wasn’t me / real / fulfilling either.

I think about what Liz Gilbert references in Big Magic about loving the mission / inspired work so much that we’re willing to eat the 💩 sandwich that goes with it.

I’m learning to expect that there will absolutely be both support and challenge (in biz, motherhood, marriage, LIFE).

Sometimes it’ll feel easy, sometimes it’ll feel hard (if not for me, for the pros doing those tasks for me).

As long as I’m really aware of and living according to my TRUE highest values in a given season – it’ll always be worth it. ✨
