WE CAN’T WAIT TO MEET HER.
Once upon a time, just over a year ago, I made a birthday wish on a Ruby Tuesday crayon. 💫
A few nights prior, I’d taken a solo walk near Pearl Harbor.
We’d been discussing the possibility of adding a fifth member to our fam unit, and I wanted to have a moment to make an agreement with the little spirit who I’d felt had visited us twice before.
I wrote:
Yes, no, maybe so.
Part of me feels like we’re trying to hold on to olden baby days and the wiser part knows our story’s still just beginning. 34 is young. Whole lives ahead. The boys love each other. Support and challenge – CHECK. Growth.
I truly feel okay no matter if we’re a fam of four or five AND I also feel clear I would regret NOT opening up to the possibility of this spirit joining us here. The synchros of this trip and timing are pointing me to confirm that.
So, littlest one, baby of the babies, let’s give this a year and see what we can do. I love and appreciate you either way / dimension. We are fam and you are loved.
Our return trip over the rainbow led to some real heartache – two back-to-back losses and deeply meaningful lessons learned. But that wasn’t the end of the story.
After months of deep inner (+ outer!) work, over the holidays I felt inspired to stop overthinking (should we or shouldn’t we try again?) and let this become our ultimate surrender experiment.
Looks like she was ready this time. 💞
And we can’t wait to meet her.
One of the times when I was pregnant between the boys, this little one inspired the name #naptimeempires.
In April, she helped me create the first draft of the #naptimeempires BOOK, which I plan to self-publish in the fall.
Now she’s inspired me to bring #naptimeempires podcast back for a third (likely final) season, premiering next week.
I’ll share more about our journey from June till now in the podcast – it’s way too much to contain in one post.
In the meantime, I just wanted you to know…she’s back.
Looks like birthday crayons could become a thing. 💫
